Bristol Rovers have taken young Leicester City centre back Cian Bolger on a month's loan.
The 18 year old had his first training session with the team today, and will go straight into the squad to face Hartlepool tomorrow night.
Described as a tough tackling defender, the 6ft 4in Irishman has come through the Leicester City Academy and is now hoping to make his league debut with Rovers.
He told bristolrovers.co.uk: "I have been at Leicester for three years and come through the Academy and it is the start of senior football for me now.
"I am a big, tough old school style defender. I'm a tough tackler and good at passing the ball. I have scored a few goals for the youth team at Leicester.
"I had my first training session today, the lads were very welcoming and I cannot wait to be involved tomorrow night.
"I am looking forward to making my league debut and getting as many senior games under my belt as possible."
Cian will wear squad number 19.
