Did he only play in Div 1 though?
I think for a while Elliott was one of the best centre halves in The Prem...

Walshy would probably have played for England if he'd moved to Spurs when offered the chance, I'm glad he stayed at Filbert Street

Lot of love for Matty Elliott from a fair few, frankly I don't share it.

No doubt he was big strong and could be effective, but leader, NO.

What about adding Gerry Taggart and Spencer Prior to the list CD?

Elliott was a superb player. If anything I think he is underrated.

Spencer Prior shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence.

I think Matt Elliott was most definitely a leader. In fact I think it was one of his best qualities.

One of the best pub brawlers city have had, my brother drank in the same local as Matt when he was at Oxford and he was guaranteed to kick off at least once a week.

I just googled him, and I found an abandoned blog whose title claimed to be exactly that, but it just turned out to be a load of bollocks.

I'm not surprised.

Malcolm Munro. If for nothing else, for his goalline clearance when we were losing 0-2 vs Leatherhead in the FA Cup. Turned out to be his last game before he threw the toys out of the pram and buggered off to Canada.
