Leicester have made an offer for Theo Janssen of Vitesse in Holland. Janssen is a left-footed central midfielder. His fitness isnt great. He looks a bit overweight and he has a funny walk. But he has one of the best left foots I have ever seen. He takes a mean free-kick and has a good through pass. He has recently won his first 2 caps for Holland but he's not very likely to get many more but you never know.

He himself thinks he has a 50/50 % chance of leaving. He wants to know first how his role at City is going to be , and the future plans of Leicester. He would be a excellent signing for Leicester if you can convince him.

I've just looked this guy up on the net. He has a scoring ratio of 1 goal per 10games which is good (20 goals in 200 appearances) & you need a team where there are goals in every department. In the 2 seasons before last his goal scoring rate went up dramatically. Partly because he became a free kick specialist who scored a few from there. Good through ball specialist passer as well apparently. All this might be irrelevant info if we don't sign him. It could be plausable in that we are a bit short on the left hand side, if we assume Mattock is left back & Porter is a squad player. He does look a little injury prone as SCF says above.

He's not really injury prone , he's a tough lad. He's just a bit lazy and a bit overweight. His nickname is Febo Theo. Febo is a sort of McDonalds type of place in Holland..:icon_bigg

Semi Translated ....

Theo Janssen makes by Vitesse for the tenth time the preparation on the new season with. That finds the 25-birthday middenvelder no punishment, but he confesses in De Gelderlander that he still open state for a transfer. 'Leicester City has self for me reported.' 'I have a little bit a double feeling', tells Janssen in the regional newspaper. 'There is previous season actual through everybody announced that I my last competition for Vitesse had played. What that concerned is it well oddly that I here now stand. The club finds that a fresh wind good is. And I think also that the perhaps better is a time to leave.'

According to the middenvelder self there is concrete interest for him of Leicester City. 'That club has self for me reported. What I heard, is that Leicester a new owner has gotten. He want to invest many in the club. But Leicester plays now in the Championship (a to most level of England, reason.). It will go see there also what the club with me will, which roles they for me weggelegd. If that all good is, then will that story best through can go.'

'I value the chances on fifty-fifty that there what lifted. I extended recently my contract yet with two seasons and can now not for nothing away. That will join in also well. But it walk yet what things. It is not so that I per se away need. There is miss nothing with Vitesse. We have an amusing team and I think that we there compared with previous season not less on became.'

Why thank you Mr.SCF - welcome to our forum

Does he play left midfield?

Central midfield but he's left footed.

He could be an excellent player for your team. He's been rumoured to be a number 1 target of Feyenoord for years and he has rejected teams so a transfer to Feyenoord would materialize but it never happened. Feyenoord have now signed Gio van Bronckhorst and Nuri Sahin for midfield so no chance again of a transfer to Feyenoord.

If he is fully 100% fat free he is one of the best players outside the top 4 (Feyenoord , ajax , PSV , AZ). Hence the 2 caps...

Good enough for me... I love blind optimism.

Get him in Milan.

Theo Janssen is getting ready for his 10th season in Vitesse colours. The 25-year old midfield finds that no punishment, but he confesses in the local Arnhem newspaper he's stll open to transfer. 'Leicester City are tracking me.' 'I am unsure, there is two parts of me, tells Janssen in the regional newspaper. 'This season everyone thought it would be my last season for Vitesse. I am unsure where I stand now. The club finds itself in a good position but perhaps it's time for me to leave.'

According to the midfielder Leicester City are showing a very strong interest. 'The club is interested me. What I heard, is that Leicester have a new owner and he want to invest money in the club. However, Leicester play in the Championship. I will go see what the club is all about and what ideas they have for me. If that's good, then the transfer could go through.'

'I value my chances at 50/50 over my decision. I have recently extended my contract for another two seasons and I can not be a free. That will be a deciding factor too but we will wait and see. I am not seeking a move away There is nothing wrong with Vitesse. We have an good team and I think that compared with previous season we'll go up the table rather than down.'

IMO any Dutch international midfielder has gotta be better than the last few years of shite

I know it's a little previous but midfield quartet of:

Clemence - Janssen - Kishishev - Kaebi

Looks like promotion material to me. Very well balanced with pace, experience, tacklers, playmaker etc.

Pity about our keeper, defence and forward line!

SCF?!? If you're Dutch which I am assume you are.

How good is Sergio Hellings?

I dont know him that well. He never stood out at Heracles and was shipped to AGOVV which is not a very good sign I would say...:icon_lol:

However Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink , Arjan de Zeeuw werent big players in Holland as well to say the least. Maybe Leicester can work miracles with him...
