Dublin on Saturday was the final straw for me. He name goes over the tannoy and half the ground start orgasming over his return and give him an ovation.

He joins a long list of crap players we seem to forgive and forget just because they once played for us and have now cleared off.

Another in the recent past was Nalis (useless tosser when here - in our fans eyes he becomes Zidane the moment he left). I'm sure the list is plentiful.

All ex-players should be roundly booed and called 'Leicester Reject' at every touch. When they've finished playing and they come onto the pitch at half time or summat, and they've played plenty of games for us and done sterling service, give em a clap. Otherwise, they are to be loathed and detested.

I can't bear the sycophantic arsewipes who clap innanely just because someone once played for us. I mean Dion fecking Dublin. He was a shambles for us. Hopelessly inept. Then he fecked off at the first glint of a payday elsewhere. Why clap and cheer the gimp? Did you not see the beaming smile of his ugly mug when they went in front?

that also applies to some of the useless ****wits we have playing for us now. The fans clap and chant their names even when they have done something stupid.

I agree - I am of the opinion that we should aim to intimidate the opposition, regardless of whether or not they used to play for us, unless they were exceptionally good at Leicester - then it should be a quick round of applause followed by much cursing and farting in the general direction of that player.

Good call Brown Nose. :038:

"huuuuuuuuuuume" (as he skies it over the bar, and the stand from 20yards)

i was half pissed and applauded dublin then realised what i had done, booed shortly after. i actually hate the bloke for the way he 'played' while at our club getting wages for being utterly useless

What I hate is when the PA bloke says 'and welcome back so-and-so'. It loses all sense of genuine feeling when the crowd are being told to do it. I only clap players I think have done a good job for us, which means sometimes I'm the only one clapping when some people boo but there you go at least I have my own opinion.

I did find the Dublin thing hard to stomach as well. Played badly his whole time here, left mid-season when we were in the relegation zone, and constantly called 'brilliant' and a 'real leicester lad' by the fans.

Re: the whole 'Huuuume' issue, I can't see the problem with people chanting his name when he makes a mistake, he's not an animal that is going to start thinking 'oh they're clapping so they think I should stick the ball wide more often', he'll know he's made a mistake when he has, it's just encouragement. It's disproportional of course as other players can make the same mistakes and get booed but that's not Hume's fault. I'd rather some of our players got encouragement and others not than they all got treated as Hughes does. In this situation at least.

hughes should count himself very lucky he is still walking IMO

I try not to worry too much about things like this

I concur, ex-players should not be applauded unless its a very special case i.e. Muzzy Izzet.

We should all start a campaign to stop it! Does this mean if we come across Gareth Williams in the near future we're going to applaud him?

I wasn't there to witness it so I can only assume that they're drugging the beer if Dion Dublin got a round of applause, feck me Wise and Low will be applauded next. I can't think of a single ex-player still playing who deserves a round of applause (plus the current bunch of useless feckwits).

Lenny, Emile?

Perfectly good word? :102: ;)

I know it's a real word Steven, it's just not a word that anybody in the real world would ever use unless they were trying really hard to get bullied and definitely not to describe surprise at other peoples behavior in a crowd... unless, as he turned around he was using a pair of binoculars & just happened to accidentally focus on the stadium floodlights
