i wonder if we could create a best 11 that all have food names. danny bacon played for charlton years ago. erm....?

Wouldn't even have to move away from City to get more than 11.

In the present team there's Elvis HAMmond, James WeslowSKI (yogurt) with a glass of Levi PORTER to wash it down.

In the past there's been Ernest BACON, Malcolm PARTRIDGE, and Willie BauCHOP for the meat-eaters among us. You could even have a slice of Albert CHEESEbrough on your Nev HAMilton or even have a Tommy EGGlestone with it. Or perhaps a Tommy (full) ENGLISH would be even better. Those that like a bit of fish can choose between Geoff SALMONs, Tommy CODd, Archie LING and Dominic SHARKey. Those that like might like a Walter CURRIE and a John gROGAN rather than just chucking Bill PEPPER over their food.

Fancy a bit of fruit afterwards? Colin APPLEton, Norman PLUMmer, Arthur BERRY.

Snack at the pub? Albert NUTtall, salt and LINEKER crisps. And to drink, a pint of Willie CARLIN or Frank WORTHINGTON - even a bottle of hALEs. Or stay at home for a nice Carl MUGgletin of Bob (rosie) LEE or a glass of Jo WATERs.

You can have all that and still the kids will want to go to Kevin MACDONALD(s)!!
