Connelly Deal Completed
Leicester City have completed the capture of David Connolly from West Ham United.

The 27-year-old Republic of Ireland international striker tied up his move to the Foxes today (Tuesday), signing a three-year-contract.

Connolly joined the Hammers in June last year - and went on to score 14 goals in 46 start.

Prior to his move to West Ham the player had spent an impressive spell with Wimbledon, scoring 42 goals in just 63 league starts.

City boss Micky Adams said: "We needed to replace Paul Dickov, which is a hard act to follow. But in David we have signed someone with a proven goalscoring record.

"He averages one goal every two appearances for his league clubs and one in four for his country - for whom he has won 40 caps. We are hoping that he scores the goals that will hopefully put us in the promotion picture"

I hope he turns out to be great for us. The stats show and IMO he is better than Dickov when he came here, so when Corky sorts him out I see a legend in the making.

:D :D :D
