Re: Coventry H

This is the official Respect fixture. No doubt this will mean we get a set of dodgy one eyed officials.

So does that mean Marlon King should not be allowed to play out of respect for all the women in the stadium?

Re: Coventry H

All out, Football Manager stylee. Have the Mentality set on attacking, the Defensive line high. Closing down always and Man Mark. 4-3-3 formation, with the two wingers getting forward as denoted by the arrows. As assistant to pick, and probably put Abe in for Oakley, cause no doubt the ****ing stupid assistant will have put him in. As for the match, to viewed in text only. Result 4-3 Vassel hatrick and one from Schlupp, brought on in the sixty fifth. One red card - Bamba, giving away a penalty to make it 3-3. MOM Vassel 9.8

This is ridiculous, not even a mention of wing-backs. How could we hope to win without playing wing-backs?

My negative thoughts are that weve peaked too soon ( best unbeaten runs are the final games) or Cardiff are simply better or unnessary team changes, whatever the reasons for defeat we have to respond with a win (as we did last time after Millwall).
Anyone got any full stops?
Were still in a decent position and IMO several teams above us are catchable (Trees, Norwich Leeds), what a good way to start the next unbeaten run by thrashing covscum 3-0 (Yak Bamber Gally), i dont think "back to basics" is the right phrase but the team id go for is
Anyone? And who's Bamber?
Ricardo (Sven rates him and he picks team)
So, is this the team you'd go for, or Sven? Not sure I understand the premise here.
Naughton (no question about his place)
By default, rather than him being any good the last couple of games.
Bamba (due a goal)
I don't think you understand the primary role of a central defender.
Mee (get the partnership back on track)
As opposed to?
Van Anholt (pace edges Berner)
It's a shame his football is so hit-and-miss.
Abe (had a rest now get him back)
I think he was dropped actually, but yes please.
Wellens (due a good performance)
King( see Wellens)
These two have been our better ones recently. That said, it seems odd to play anyone because they owe you a good performance - you're selecting them precisely because you think they've been shit!
Vassell (move to middle if Yak doesnt perform)
What if Vassell doesn't perform?
Yakubu (i except hes lazy but id replace him if hes having a lethargic game)
After about 15 minutes then, based on Tuesday.
Gally (edges Dyer and Waggy for teamplay and set peices)
I don't understand :102:
Subs
Brauma (seems experiment in midfield didnt work)
Never heard of him.
Shlupp ( dont need Vitor and Brauma on bench)
Never heard of him.
Berner
Weale
Dyer
Waggy
Is that all?

You clearly don't play Football Manager. I'm having a difficult time understanding that. It's the football bible, dontcha know, and players are only any good if they're good on FM.

Re: Coventry H

Lets get this thread started before Rydal (my record at starting these is ok).

Looking at the Pre Match thread Starters of last 100 games You have a 49% win rate over the last 100 games but then again you have started over 20% of them. So using the "more shit you fling at a wall the more shit sticks" method " then yes you do OK. In the same respect my 100% win rate looks impressive until you notice is started 5% of them.

Can we have a spreadsheet?

Re: Coventry H

The over-reaction to the Cardiff defeat was predictable and inevitable.

The end of the delusion that we were likely to achieve automatic promotion is probably helpful.

I don't think Weale is a quality keeper - but at some point Ricardo is going to cost us more valuable points than Weale so hopefully Sven will re-assess this situation.

I don't think this is an easy game but we're fortunate to have a home game so quickly to provide the chance to get back on track, but I fear that we may only get a point.

BM breakdown, BOOM!

Re: Coventry H

Can anyone tell me which areas of Leicester to avoid pre-match? Anyone heard anything going down on the sad_thugs_are_us forums?

On Tuesday we had the hardest game out of the top 7 teams.
This Saturday, on paper*, we have the easier of the fixtures.
A good chance to claw some ground on the top 6.

*I know, we don't play on paper:icon_roll

Re: Coventry H

Ricardo

Naughton
Bamba (centre half)
Mee (centre back)
Van A

Abe
Wellens
King

Dyer
Yakubu
Gally

Back to winning ways, with a destruction of Cov. Lovely.

Re: Coventry H

Good news is that this game is on TV in Norway, Denmark and Poland so good chance there will be a decent stream.
