I’m genuinely surprised the ref gave the pen, if it had happened a little slower he could have bottled it on the grounds that their player touched the ball.

He’s been ****ing woeful on the whole really, not hopeful for the second half because he’s itching to give them everything.

Can't agree, his was a follow through that you'd have to say probably wasn't meant.
Doesn't matter. It was wreckless and out of control. It was thigh high. It was a much, much worse and much more dangerous tackle than Fatawu's.

Not much choice now but to try and hold fire and maybe seal it on the counter. Still maintain I'd be pretty happy to come away with a point from this, especially now we're a man down....

The penalty and red card were similar decisions IMO.

Both on the harsh, strict end of the rules but not technically wrong - but ones that would get a lighter punishment often.

Cov fans smell blood with this ref. Going to be a long 45, this.

We aren’t exactly built to play with 10 men either.

I'd argue we absolutely are set up to play with 10. We will still keep the ball for long periods.

How would you know that? It hasn't happened with this squad before.
Because we like to create overloads and mismatches to break through a press and with one less out ball that gets significantly harder.

We also concede most of our goals late in games.

Some of the ****ing fouls he’s giving them…

Our ability to keep possession counteracts that.

And we score more in the second half.

We'll be OK. This ref will even things out at his earliest opportunity.
