Just back from holiday and I've got to say I was gobsmacked to learn that Levein has signed Joe Hamill. Whilst Joe was one of CLs' pet boys at Hearts, I'm afraid that Joe is a total wimp and made no contribution in the 2 years he was in the team.

I thought signing Kisnorbo was bad enough! Tell me has old "Skippy on Ice" actually played yet?

No, but you guys can't seem to decide between you whether hes any good. I have heard so many mixed reviews about Kisnorbo...I'll judge him and Hamill when I see them play.

Apparently Levein sees Hamill as someone for the future, so he is unlikely to get anywhere near our first team...yet!

How are things going, are you lot still top of the SPL. Congrats on that by the way, and keep it up!!!:038:

They have a Skippy theme park in the Blue Mountains just outside Sydney. ;)

or Flipper i suppose, but saying that what would they do if you cover the mine shafts???? you clearly didn't think through the reprocusions of your actions now these poor child rescuers are in the dole queue.

i hope your happy

To be fair flipper would have struggled reaching a mineshaft in the outback due to lack of proximty to the sea.

Lassie would also have had to travel from North America and therefore surely the child would have been dead by the time he had got himself a plane ticket and applied for a passport/work visa for carrying rescue work in a foreign country then got on the plane and been transported from the airport to the area of the outback where the abandoned mineshaft is located. Therefore surely the best option is to block if off and save the lives of future generations of children and then the children that are saved could play games with the children that had to befriend a kangaroo in the first place because of their lonely outback existance. This would allow the kangaroo to return to its natural habitat rather than being touched up by a small boy.

Also considering the fact that it was always another boy who was stuck down the well/mineshaft there were a hell of a lot of children in what is generally considered to be an underpopulated and barren place with a few farms dotted over a large expense of land many times the size of the UK.

The only inuendo was in your own mind. ;) Do try to go to Aus and get out of the cities and get to some of the more remote spots. ;)

Thanks for that - played 3, won 3, scored 11, lost 2. Still top however, I don't think it will last.

The good news is that the new owner is pumpimg some serious money into the club and we have been signing quality players - 3 Czech Republic International players, the Greek left back that played in their European Championship winning team PLUS telling Rangers and Celtic to p*ss off when they came calling for 2 of our best players.

I just wish Maybury had hung around!!!

Best of luck to LCFC this season.

Thanks mate!

On another note, what an amazing thread this is!! I hadn't thought throught the logistics of being a rescue dolphin, Kangaroo or dog before, but now I feel enlightened!!

Now if I could just shake this hangover (mates birthday last night). Anyone else suffering from the effects of the night before, and more to the point, don't you just hate hangovers at work!!!:009:

Maybe a squirrel would be better at rescue attempt.

1. They are smaller and could therefore get into much tighter mineshafts/wells.

2. They are far more intelligent than most animals (except the dolphin).

3. They can go anywhere on dry land ( a clear advantage over the dolphin)

4. They are extremely good at remembering where things are buried underground. i.e. young boys in mineshafts

5. They will work for peanuts. Well nuts generally.

So all round a squirrel is the answer.:038:
