Official Statement
Posted on: Fri 27 Jun 2008

Leicester City have responded to reports this morning that Craig Shakespeare has joined the club from West Bromwich Albion after being released from his contract at the Hawthorns.

Chief Executive Lee Hoos said: "While Craig Shakespeare is highly admired by Nigel Pearson and has worked closely with him the past, we do not conduct our business within the media.

"As with all players and staff, we will not be making any further comment on this matter until any possible negotiations have taken place and contracts have been signed."

What a complete load of tosh - it's obvious he's going to come to Leicester...

When I saw "Official Statement" on the site I thought they were officially announcing that any player could go to the highest bidder!!!!

I don't think they need to announce that to be honest, it's pretty much a foregone conclusion.

:icon_lol::icon_lol:

So a done deal apart from signing his contract.

I suspect this is some sort of pissing contest between Hoos and whoever he is doing business with. I think Hoos likes the sound of his own voice...

I really couldn't care if The Bard himself was joining us to be Assistant,I'm slightly more interested in who we are getting in On the Field

I believe they have lined up two gentlemen from Verona

and a goat

FFS its only for an assistant manager. Assistant managers are as much use as an udder on a bull for christs sake, and everyone on here is wanking himself off over him.

Much ado about nothing!

It's MM's strategy again, he's linked with all these old famous people like Shakespeare and Nelson so it won't seem so bad when he actually signs Fowler and Hasslebank.
