They deserve it tonight, but Saturday's game is even more important.

I have to say with 6 defenders in starting line up - I was livid!
But we ground out the win, we have to come to terms that this is what it's gonna be like with Megson - might not be the prettiest football or most exciting team but results are what count if we want to go up!

I was happy with the performance tonight, a boring 1-0 win is better than losing anyday

Definitely.
We were awful going forward, defensively we were excellent.
Playing hoofball to Iain Hume who is being marked by 2 huge centre backs in Knight and Davies isn't a good option.

villa beat chelsea 2 nil the other day, everyone should stop being so pessimistic n try taking the positives before all the so called neagatives..did anyone really expect us to win?? well done lads on a terrific TEAM performance i thought the boys ran there hearts out! also well done to evryone else who was there cos thought the fans were as good as the team tonite.

Well done Gary Megson you were right and I was wrong on the night.
HOWEVER, I agree with those councelling caution. This was a team for a specific job. If we turn out the same eleven in the championship on a regular basis, it will not work. The worry that I have is not only whether Megson will want to keep this level of defence but, what he could do to be more adventurous. We have a lot of players, but an unbalanced squad.

and if thats the way you view it, thats what defenders are there for is it not. A team can play well and defend for 90 mins or did you not know that?
