I wonder if whoever wrote the play, Colin Shindler, is a City fan and made reference to us for that reason.

If it was *the* Colin Shindler, he is a Man City fan. He also wrote "Manchester United Ruined My Life" which was basically his memoirs and "Fathers, Sons and Football" which covered three generations of the Summerbee family.

Both good books.

Manchester United Ruined My Life was going to be made in a film with Alan Rickman in the lead. There has been loads of rip-off since that book, 'Manchester United Ruined My Wife' being one.
