Signs until the end of the season

http://www.lcfc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10274~2280743,00.html

Leicester City manager, Sven-Goran Eriksson, has today made his fifth signing of the January transfer window, securing Nigerian striker, Daniel Uchechi on loan until the end of the season, subject to Football League approval.
The 21-year-old joins from Nigerian club, FC Dender and follows the loan signings of Manchester City defender, Ben Mee and Everton striker Yakubu, the permanent signing of Sol Bamba from Hibernian and the extension of Tottenham Hotspur full-back, Kyle Naughton's loan until the end of the season.

Uchechi has undertaken a trial for the Foxes and the promising forward has caught the eye of Eriksson and his coaches.
After moving to England in 2002, he began his career at Charlton Athletic, before moving to West Ham United, representing their youth and reserve teams respectively.
Uchechi excelled for Nigeria at both under-20 and under-23 level, taking part in the FIFA under-20 World Cup and impressing in the last 16 stage in the 2009 tournament, scoring the opening goal of the game against Germany, before the Super Eagles lost 3-2 and exited the competition.

Agreed, he has until the end of the season to prove his worth...

Indeed Sven has been shrewd by getting a youngster with a point to prove. Players with points to prove invaribly try harder.

He's not exactly high-scoring...

...not even on a triple word.

According to Stringer on Twitter Sven has stated that Waggy won't be leaving. This is despite pursued interest from Non-League Nigel up the road.

Sven on the moan in saying Uchechi is one for the future, they want to look at him over the next few months but he may not make the first team for a while

When was the last time we signed someone described as "one for the future"... and that future hasn't been for a League 2/Scottish team?

Does anyone know what's happening with this guy? Has he played for the reserves at all?
