You know as well as i do that 9/10 clubs who quote that line usually do have an interest in the player that is questioned and if there is no interest they tell us its just paper talk!

My mates a Preston fan and he said they'd be laughing all the way to the bank if we signed him...they don't rate him at all. But somtimes certain managers get the best out of players who have under achived...lets hope if we do get him Pearson is one of them

I have friends who are PNEseason ticket holders they tell me he can be brilliant( 75yd passes+ spectacular goals) but can also fail with a 5yd pass, they reckon Irvine doesnt rate him and they also feel they paid over the odds at 500k. Sounds like he would be availableand could be moulded into a decent player. I reckon this is more than a speculation.

I agree, I think that we may well sign Darren Carter, however 750k is a bit too much.
