Has anyone else watched the Foxes Player videos of Nugent's 50 goals?

I think it's easy to forget his quality sometimes and we've been spoiled a bit. He has scored some wonderful and important goals for the club (his chip against Forest was glorious), he always works hard and enjoys his football.

I love the bloke me.

I like him too. Decent character, capable of quality, frustrates however.

He's effectively playing as an attacking midfielder this season; to which a lot of people are over critical. I personally think he has enough know how to make it at a higher level but more so as an out and out striker.

I possibly am being a little harsh, he may well be okay.

The fact a Premier side has not taken the punt on him is slightly concerning, that coupled with the fact I have seen him miss so many sitters over the season is the reason I don't think he would be quite enough.

Played in the premier league for at least two seasons.

To be clear I absolutely think we need to improve up front if we go up.

I just think Nugent has been an excellent servant to the club and has been one of the best players we've had in a decade.

Agreed. Not sure he'd be up to the Premier League, but he's definitely a very good Championship attacker (if not necessarily a striker). He's been very good for us by and large the last 3 seasons especially when you think of some of the crap we've had up front over the past decade and what most standard Championship forwards are like.

Off the top of my head, apart from Konchesky and Phillips, he must be pretty close to having played more games than anyone else in the Premier League from our squad. That in itself might be a good thing to have around us next season (should we go up).

I'm just watching the 50 goals on foxesplayer too and I'd forgotten how many were from outside the box and long range. Sometimes I think of him as a bit of a poacher I forgot that he has a decent long range shot on him too.

He reminds me of Ian Marshal when running.

There really are some nice goals in there.

I think his best, watching through so far, was a volley from outside the area into the top corner after Beckford's backheel. Can't remember the opposition. Think it was either towards the end of the 1-10 video, or towards the beginning of the 11-20 video.

I really like Nugent, always have done.

I think he will cut it at Premier League level. Some people just know where the net is, he's one. Southampton away, Watford away (2nd), Middlesbrough at home all good examples of his quality.

I've said it before when he's been getting some stick but he would walk into any other team in the Championship and is one of the best strikers in the division.

He's a very intelligent player and a very good footballer (ie not just a goal scorer) too so I think he has the potential to be to step up with us.

Saying that though, his contract is up at the end of the year and nothing much seems to have been said about it. Anyone know anything?

Considering he cost **** all I don't see how anyone can see anything but positives.Best signing we've made in years. On top of that he always gives the impression that if you met him you'd like him,a rarity for a footballer these days.

We've never been good at appreciating what we've got until it's gone.A bloke who used to stand behind me in the Kop was like a broken ****ing record every week bemoaning a striker we had at the time "can't stay on his feet"..."can't win a header"..."****ing selfish"..."doesn't tackle back" moan, moan, moan every week.Even when he scored.

Player's name was Lineker.**** knows what happened to him.

Nugent and Vardy are great but I am pretty certain that we will need to invest in top centre forward to supplement them. Where that will leave Wood I don't know.... perhaps moving onto pastures new?

GTF has definitely got a clause in his contract saying he'll get an extension if he plays a certain number of games. So I expect he'll be gone in the summer...

It's 20 games, he's on about 14 now but I can't see him making many more now.
