Our back four is immense. One of the best defensive records in the league. Morgan 30+ games without a booking. OK Huth keeps getting away with elbowing his opponents in the face. Spurs have 16 corners and not a single shot on goal from them.

I think the secret is we attack as a whole team and defend as a whole team, so the back four are rarely exposed.

The turnaround has been unbelievable - from one of the leakiest defences to one of the best. The main difference for me is having two defensively minded full backs who don't bomb up the pitch all the time. Schlupp and De Laet at the start of the season were often leaving us with two at the back.

Even though he's 150 miles away in the land of the smog monsters, I'm sure it'll be perfectly possible to scapegoat Ritchie for any defensive slip ups LCFC make in the next 13 games.

I couldn't sleep last night and am wondering if I can apportion at least a little bit of the blame to RDL?

Only if you were worried that Giroud was constantly nutmegging you and quickly sidestepping past you.

RDL has a lot to prove and his next 4 years will be his career peak.

He is great going forward and has blistering pace. I actually always saw him as more of a winger. He's got good crossing ability also. Him in front of a more defensive minded right back like Simpson would work - especially if RDL works his socks off. He can defend better than the average winger so it would be pretty solid on the right. Not too disimilar to Albrighton.

Schluppy is still young-ish but needs to learn more. Again - him in front of Fuchs would be cool (if Albrighton got injured) because he has better defensive qualities than most wingers, but is also very fast and can take on players.

I love our squad.
