Confirmed Transfer Dean Hammond

As Southampton sent him out on loan all last season, he may have been in the same situation as some of our players, in that they just wanted to get rid of him. So I imagine the fee was pretty small. If we're paying him what we paid Marshall, we'll still have improved the financial situation with Marshall's transfer fee being higher.
It could also mean deals are in the pipeline to move other players out. It'll be interesting to see if any of the regulars are missing from today's squad.

Not to mention that fact we may have him on a lot less and Southampton paid up some of the difference.

Would imagine this sends a pretty clear message to Danns.

Find a new club or play in the ressies.

Don't know much about Hammond but on paper it makes loads of sense: experienced, knows how to get promoted, and an extra body in an area where we needed some depth.

Good stuff.

I would be very surprised if James and Drinkwater were left out.

I would be very surprised if James plays against Wigan.

Youngy said "wouldn't be surprised if they appeal and it get's rescinded"

Unless rules have changed, you can't challenge 2 yellows.

(Wigan had a good win today.)

They haven't changed

Alan Young knows Jack Shit

In that case, I owe Stringer an apology. I mentioned in the match thread that he had said it.

Well hopefully Hammond can give us a rock so we an get a bit more creative, reading things and having been to a match this season (I live in Lancashire) we lack the creativity to carve teams open.

10 points from 5 games, imagine how many points we could have!

Could we please sign a player I've heard of before, FFS

If we are serious about going up, adding an ageing journey-man player nobody has ever heard of outside of Brighton & Southampton, is not the way forward

Yep, your ignorance of a player is a key indicator of their talent. We'd be better getting players you've heard of, it worked for Sven.

Didn't say anything about the points tally - it's a great return so far. But how many of those goals have come from cutting passes that break the opposition wide open?

Does that get extra points?

We didn't get extra points for doing that for the 2nd at 'Boro or for our first two against Birmingham. And we didn't get a single point for doing it on several occasions at Carlisle!

A good signing I think.

I work with a Saints season ticket holder his quote...

"Steady, good organiser, did well for us coming up through the leagues, but not in our squad now... You could do worse..."
