Neither Byfield nor McLeod seem "likely" signings (particularly byfield) if you ask me, indeed signing Cort seems to suggest if we do get another striker in it will be a player will pay a bit for and one who less of a target man and more of a "busy" player... meanwhile N'Gotty, Nielsen, Cort and Stappleton all seem decent signings...
The thing remains that most signings at this point in the season are clubs picking up frees etc... other players will involve negotiations betweens clubs and agents and generally haggling all of which take a fair bit of time, so I think the “bigger signings” will come towards the end of the month.

MMMM ...Cort - left Newcastle where he had been dogged by injuries to go to Hoddle's Wolves because he thought there was unrealised potential.
Cort - at first looks woefully unfit...then back to the injury category...so instead of getting lots of games gets turved out.
Of course he could suddenly hit a late purple patch (he's 29 I think), but the odds must be heavily against it.

Particularly when MM has stated that he wants to get into the PL in three years. No way with the "quality" of player so far.
He was voted best goalkeeper in the Danish league. Which is about the same as being voted best goalkeeper in League two :icon_roll

The last two years it has been won by Jesper Christiansen. Someone who has played in British football. He played three times for Rangers.
So our new goalkeeper is not as good as someone who wasn't good enough to get into an Old Firm team. We may as well stick with Douglas! :icon_wink

Im concerned about the lack of midfielders coming in (although it seems Hayes is rated highly by MK fans, but he is a winger.
Im hoping for 2 from Lennon, Holland, Hendrie, Murphy or Ilic, or maybe we wont need a midfield next season just whack it to Cort and feed off the bits!
