Real shame if let him go. It seems he prefers to play as a CB, but looked like the archetypal modern full back to me, capable of getting up and down the line with pace and skill. We need RB cover in the 1st team don't we?

I was about to write a post moaning about how short sighted and arrogant it would be on Johnson’s behalf to throw away a chance to play for a great club like ours because he doesn’t agree with how he’s being coached.

Then I remembered that we almost never produce first teamers from the youth teams so maybe he’s right to disagree with the coaches.

Then I realised that I hadn’t actually read the article and saw the words ‘it is understood’.... Mercury speak for completely fecking made up along with the names of two random Dutch clubs, because some smarty pants remembers that one young English player left Man City for Germany under similar circumstances last summer.
