I got no problem with cheering and banter but abuse of the home fans in front of them is unacceptable to me in non-segregated seating. Some fans felt very threatened, particularly those with young children. What would happen if we allowed away fans in to L1. And the answer is the reason why we don't!

And some leicester fans get treated like shit just for sitting in l1, these wolves fans got away with abusive behaviour in the home end. ****ing typical.

There were warnings prior to the game that any away supporters found in the home end would be ejected. I'm glad the club stuck to that, I wouldn't want them to look pathetic or anything.

I was just making the point that all this was to be expected and a symptom of the club not being able to fill home areas.

On a different point - I think LCFC have long been weak at dealing with the issue of segregation when it comes to supporters from clubs with a history of trouble and I would include the fashionable London outfits of Arsenal and Chelsea in that list.

In times past there was mayhem in the Filbert Street double decker before the demand for STs soared under MON. I remember being there with my young son and turning round to be confronted by Arsenal fans and a knive ( I realise that some Forum members would think that justified!). Trouble was endemic that day and others throughout that section of the ground which was supposed to be segregated (with a section for those who remember towards the East of the DD reserved for away supporters but not always enforced).

I think this is not the same as singing by away supporters and as for banter being ok and abuse not.....isn't most football banter a form of abuse. For instance I dont remember us ever singing "We don't like Forest very much at all!" or "We will be quite pleased really if Derby County were to get relegated".

its not just the away fans who visit use who are the monsters, we do exactly the same when we are away and tickets are hard to come by.

I used to hoild membership to several supporters clubs of rival teams so I could get tickets for such matches, and I am sure that still goes on.

Quite right BG.

I reckon it's all these whinging middle class people who are now forcing up admission prices that are the problem.

The response years ago would be to make sure that we caused some aggro at their ground.

Don't think that the Wolves will be going anywhere - so there is always next season.

I'm all for infiltrating the opposition territory. It's a close as I'll ever get to an SAS style undercover operation.

If they were goading the City fans though, then the Stewards/Scum bottled it. However, as someone who worked in the away end as a Steward at Filbo for 5 years, dealing with significant numbers of emotional fans is a very tricky business. You can easily make situations worse.

I agree with you Mike (have you really got a blue rinse?!)

I think most people know the difference between cheering and banter and exactly like Desertfox says, away fans are a vital part of the atmosphere of a game. I wasn't at the match but it sounds as if the Wolves fans referred to overstepped the mark. And of course chances are the people who do that sort of goading won't be seen for dust if trouble does kick off!

A clear code of conduct seems important and then, like people have said, that has to be enforced.

My only experience of this kinda thing at the Walkers was the premiership game against Everton, there was a group of away fans sat about 10 rows back from me in the corner of the west and north stands, they weren't in colours but they were singing and certainly not shy about making themsleves known. I turned round a few times and pointed out they were in the wrong end and should keep quiet (maybe not quite in those terms) and a steward actually came up and told me to stop antagonising them!!!!

The Leicester City stewards are weak when it comes to dealing with all sorts of issues. The whole of the stadium was a no smoking area last season, however, you still couldn't visit the concourse areas at half time without having to wade through a fog of smoke.

Either the club has policies or it doesn't. If it does then they MUST be enforced for ALL supporters. If not, then there's no point in having the policy in the first place.

They did **** all about the smoking, it was a disgrace. It was if they were scared to do anything about it

Well I was sat amongst them in the "posh" seats. I didn't hear anything abusive, they cheered their goals and sang on a couple of occasions. The stewards reminded them of where they were.

I don't have a problem about them celebrating their goals. By joining in with Wolves songs they were pushing it though, but they were told not to after about the second song.

They had paid top dollar £75+ for these seats, having done the same to away games myself you are usually put in with your own fans. Something the club should look at. TLet them eat their food... then march them round to their away seats 10 mins before kick off.

I think you misunderstand lako.... I know the reason they were there is because all the seats had sold out in the away end. My point is that there should be a set number of seats available in the away end for them to sit in.

When I have been to away games and done the meal etc, you have your meal and then they take you to your alocated seats in the away end. There is no reason the club can't do this.

Instead of allocating 3000 tickets to the away team you allocate 2900. Leaving 100 available if "corporates" or whatever you want to call them decide they want the meal etc.

sorry i was missing the point, revision is warping my mind ;)

I did, but I did have the decency to remove myself from the field of play as a punishment. I was very, very pissed off when I missed that

Very true.

Thinking about it, I blame Matt, what kind of captain leads a team of phenomenal athletes to defeat in every match?
