Anybody on here a twitterer? Tried it out last night just to see what all the fuss is about. Is there a point to it?

Those who think FaceBook is a waste of time will hate Twitter!

Checked it out only for research purposes a while back - hated it, didn't see the point compared to blogs.

mattbeighton, follow me people! Only started a few days ok, it's OK so far, I tied it into my blog and my facebook status. I will be bored of it in about a week no doubt

Well I'm following you and you're even more boring than me :icon_lol:

I think what we all need to know is why is he following Jamie Oliver and Stephen Fry?
Following a homosexual manic depressive and a cook with Down's syndrome can't be good for you Matt! :icon_lol:

:icon_bigg I like Fry, his podcasts as always entertaining! Also Jamie Oliver has occasionaly good recipes! I promise!

But you'll never be able to replicate them exactly the same as he makes them, the saliva dribbling from his fat lips gives his recipes that extra something*. :icon_razz

btw, why do you think CSS conditional statements are ugly?
They can be a real life saver and are far more elegant than a lot of the ridiculous hacks being used out there.

They can be useful, and I had to use one yesterday, but I would much rather complete and uniform CSS support (in a perfect world of course). My concern is what happens when the browsers that need the statement, IE in this case, support CSS properly, the statement will then break the page.

Explicitly state which browser the CSS rules apply to:

<!--[if IE 7]>
IE7 rules go here
<! [end if] -->
<!-- [if lt IE 7]>
IE6 & below here
<! [end if]-->

Any new versions of IE, and standards compliant browsers, will ignore it

I've just finished reading Blind Faith, by Ben Elton.

I think the social networkers may find it to be a useful read.

For those who twitter and use Firefox, I recommend TwitterFox as an addon, I find it more useful than having to go the page to view stuff.

True I'll probably change it to that tomorrow. At the moment I am trying to configure my laptop to work on the project from home, I am using Visual Studio 2008 but the project we created in it at work won't open on my laptop. It's very frustrating.
