And the defence, did you see the goal or are you just apportioning blame with no basis?

Weale all see when the football league show is on tonight.

1-1 against Doncaster sums up the end of the season for me. Just not quite good enough. Bring on next season, a settled team, some more experience and some width.

On the basis that whatever the defensive combination he still seems to let in long range goals. :102:

My thoughts exactly. Those, in that order, are the top priorities if next season will be more successful than this one.

I don't think it can be just down to Weale. Although I'd say he needs replacing, to me the fact that we let in so many ranged efforts says something about our defence in that we don't close down enough outside the area.

A disappointing result albeit one that matters not one iota to us. Not so sure bringing in all these players on loan again next year is necessarily going to be the answer to get us promoted next year either. It hasn't necessarily worked this year and it has been touched upon that it creates problems with selection issues when certain players might be ineligable due to the loan players restriction.

Some good news for the day, Earnshaw recieves a straight red for Forest meaning he will miss the two play off semis for them!

I think that 1-1 disguises the fact that we were not very good today.

I was about to post that our performance was no better than under Sousa when we produced some good football and The Yak scored!

Roll on 2011-12 season!

If it's 2 yellows he only misses one match. So it won't be the play-offs.

According to SSN it was a second yellow for taking a free kick too quickly.

Came up as a staight red on SSN, I'm sure it also said 'professional foul' but can't remember. Not such good news if it was only a one game ban then, as they look as though they've nailed it now regardless of the results of the last day of the season.

Yep, it did say professional foul on SSN. Because it was just after their 5th goal, and I thought why is Earnshaw going in that hard to a challenge when they're winning 5-1...

Glad dirty Leeds won't make the playoffs, but hope Forest lose in them too!

Not too suprised by our result today really... Doncaster needed something to make sure they stayed up (although would've been fine given Sheff Utd's result anyway), and we had nothing to play for so not suprised they'd be more up for the game than us.

Another Yak goal though... but I bet Alan Young was still slagging him off and the Walkers' boo boys will still be on his back too.

Not that it matters at all but according to Livescore it was just before the fifth goal.

Just the one game ban so he'll be free to play QPR.

I went up to the back row to talk to Sidekick at half time and the bloke a couple of seats away inexplicably started talking to us about how little Yak offers, to which I replied "yeah, a goal every other game, useless". Seconds - literally seconds - before he scored, some obese bloke a few seats away from me shouted a load of abuse at him about being lazy, without any obvious irony in his voice. Still celebrated the goal I notice, you fat twat. That cancer stick you lit up in the stands after the game won't help your ability to run, by the way, and nor will the pie you inhaled at half time. Hypocritical, fat, clueless, fat, sweaty, fat, lazy fat wanker.
