That's a freak result that - I do not think we all need to start getting carried away - we were in control of that game until their second penalty; which was by far the harshest penalty I have seen for a while.

Douglas and de Vries looked poor, but apart from that I thought we had that one until the ****ing ref got involved.

That was a freak.

de Vries was absolutely shocking

I hope your right! I thought at times we played really well but we made far too many mistakes. I had to watch the game at a wedding in sheffield not far from the ground, I was pissed off with not being able to go, but I think with all the sheff utd fans here the days going to get steadily worse!

Well, the only think I thought was positive from him was his holding up of the ball, but in total he was dreadful....

I thought Sylla drifted out the game too easily and Maybury wasn't great today either...

Oh ****ing hell, I'm bloody starting now aren't I?

Williams was the best player on the park though I thought.

The way I look at is Douglas is a goal keeper and he made some saves, as a striker how many shots did MDV have, one?

CL must take some blame for this. De Vries and Williams were diabolical. They should have been changed on 60 minutes at the latest. Even when the second goal went in there was no immediate action from CL.

MDV was never the man to leave on the pitch to sort the problem out. What would you do in that position?. What I wouldn't do is take Stearman off who was having a reasonable game.

Does CL see a different MDV to the rest of us?.

WHAT?? I thought Williams was head and shoulders above other players on the pitch!!!!

De Vries should've come off - much rather see Dublin there next match.

Some good points there, I was a bit shocked at the Stearman sub as I thought he was doing well and Gilbert has played only one previous game for us.

Williams I thought was one of our better players, I just hope Cilla isn't a one half only player.

Unless we can get someone up front to help with the goals we're always going to struggle to win games.

Personally I would have gone 4-3-3 after the 2nd pen with the new lad injecting a bit of much needed pace.

Couldn't agree more. Douglas and De Vries looked poor, although De Vries did hold the ball up well most of the time, just looked afraid to shoot, which is a shame because people will be on his back if he doesn't score straight away.

The rest of the team played really, really well though, and we were in control for virtually the whole game, and just lost our way with about 8 minutes to go and they got the last 2 goals (although Ifill's goal was a very good goal, and nothing much you can do about those).

It sounds strange after a 4-1 loss, but that game has made me feel a bit better about the season. Ignore the last 8 minutes. We played well throughout, attacking and defending as a team, back 4 pushed up well, Williams and Gudjonsson did very well in midfield, Connolly looked on good form despite having barely featured in pre-season, and we still have players to return from injury.

4-1 is a crap result, but I don't think we should be too disheartened by it. A mistake by the keeper for the first goal, a completely unjust penalty for the second, a good goal for the 3rd and just lack of composure on the 4th. Levein will give the players a bollocking about the 4th and possibly the 3rd, and hopefully sort them out ;) We'll beat Stoke.

Williams put in a blinding cross from a free kick, but IMO that was about it. My big complaint is MDV, don't anybody start with the "give him time" bollocks, he's had plenty and looks no better than last season. Although he did have one or two nice little flicks that achieved sweet FA.

Some things never change though, it's not like us to fall apart in the last 10 minutes is it. Still it is only the first game, hopefully it wasn't a true reflection of our team.

Agree with Melton that MDV should've come for Dublin. As Kamara said, with Morgan's bandaged up head, Dublin would've been good to bring on and harrass him.

Williams probably MOTM though. Don't what you saw wrong there!

And I thought Sylla played well too. Didn't do as well in the second half, but still didn't do badly, and when he wasn't in the game as much he was drifting in from the right to try and find the ball and get involved.

I don't think any Leicester player played that badly apart from Wilcox who I thought was absolutely hopeless. We played OK,awful awful decision against us and the rest is history.MDV missed chances again but he wasn't that bad IMO.

Williams - Looks like I am on my own on this one. Too stubborn to say I'm wrong though

You didn't think Rab played badly? What were you exactly watching?
