Former Celtic and Scotland keeper Rab Douglas could be set for a comeback at Gretna if they win promotion to the Scottish Premier League.

The 34-year-old is currently out of favour at Leicester City.
Gretna stand-in manager Davie Irons told BBC Scotland: "I've spoken to his agent Blair Morgan and obviously if a player of that quality is available we'd be interested.
"However, it would be hard to attract Rab to a First Division club"
He added: "A lot depends on whether we get promoted".
Gretna are currently top of the First Division table, nine points ahead of second-placed St Johnstone with nine games remaining.
But Irons continued: "Much depend on what happens with Ziggy Malkowski who was tremendous for us on Sunday. "If he wanted to stay then that would be ideal".

He's not going to go to Gretna when he still has a contract at Leicester. The only wasy to get him to go would be to pay him up to the end of the contract - saves us zilch!

Never said it would save us anything

Didn't the Foxes Trust once intimate that Levein wanted to put him on a much longer contract and the board vetoed it.

Funny how Levein hasn't come steaming after the players he thought would make LCFC such a dynamic prospect isn't it?

I present to you my fine friend Alex. , his comments in 442 Magazine over his time at Leicester

a bruising spell at Leicester City, which he characterises as ''two steps forward and one back''.

''I certainly learnt a lot from what happened down in England. First and foremost, because I didn't know the league down there, I should have been a bit more patient in my rebuilding; I should have stuck with what I had rather than trying to make drastic changes straight away. That time would have helped me to understand the league a little better. It's different for me coming back up to Scotland'

rab nice to have you hear but its better to see your lazt fattt arse leave this club and balance our books a bit more...oh yeh and don't get to take pie and pint from the kon-corse, ;)

Come on Gretna, get promoted. They're my second team now!! :)

They're my first, I've about given up with this bunch of cnuts

Good shout, never thought of that!! Shall we get some tickets for them? I bet it would be more entertaining than going to the Walkers!!
