Ex Manager and ex player now assistant coach have managed to snaffle the very same player that we were after not long ago
Dean Smith and Christian Fuchs have a player here, as long as he turns up of course, as he did tend to go missing sometimes
Zaha joins Charlotte FC on year-long loan - https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/c99y10rr1jlo

He wouldn't be bouncing around the footballing backwaters if he was actually any good still.

This was where it all started to go wrong for us.

Kasper leaving was quite a surprise and us not having a reliable, confident goalie in 22/23 really ****ed us over.

I’d have him first choice whilst Mads is out, without question.
I remember Kasper going downhill toward the end and very disappointing. Remember when a corner from the opposition was equivalent to them having a penalty (although not all his fault). Although he'd obviously still be second behind Mads, there's no way he'd be #1.

This is true. But we would have had a much better chance of staying up with him in goal that season. As shit as we were.....we went down by 2/3 points despite having no goalkeeper for most of the season.

I know, I was only thinking how we went down by just 2-3 points, and yet looking back, at the time it just seemed inevitable.

Yep. Doomed from day one yet there was enough other shit floating around us that we could have escaped had decisions been made.

If we didn’t buy Okoli, Skipp, Ayew and Golding (it was patently obvious we needed players who are ready, not to spend 5m on someone who isn’t and may never be) we would have had decent money to buy two good players. If we then didn’t waste money on Dog Bobby and Wages/loan fees on Edouard, we could’ve bought 2-3 good players and had another good loan.

We absolutely ****ed it before a ball was kicked. That’s on Sloth from the Goonies and Rudkin.

Kasper being dropped for his record breaking game (for Danny Ward) and Brendan suggesting he had two number ones on that day should have set loud alarm bells ringing in hindsight.

Zaha didn't even know Fuchs was there from this extract from an interesting article

Funnily enough, Zaha also ran into another familiar face during his first day with the club: former Leicester City defender Christian Fuchs, who is now a Charlotte assistant coach.

"I didn't know he was here at all!" Zaha admits with a laugh. "I saw him randomly and said, 'What the hell are you doing here?!' He's loved it and was just telling me how nice everyone is here and that everyone is welcome.
