Its back again folks, and while were all moaning about the dodgy things happening lets go back down memory lane and remember another legend :038: This months legend is......................

LINEKER_Gary_1983_GH_L.jpg

Gary Lineker

Appearances 187
Goals 95

England Caps 80
England goals 48

Other clubs-Everton, F.C. Barcelona, Tottenham Hotspur, Nagoya Grampus Eight

Saw him make his debut as a right winger in the same game as Dave Buchanan who was our youngest ever player at the time. Everyone thought that Buchanan was goin to be the one but how wrong was that to be....

This was my first ever Leicester game. I was eight. My old man took me and i remember we sat behind the goal at the Filbert Street end. Of all the times i have been since i have never, ever sat in the north stand of Filbo or the Walkers.

Little did i realise at the time how significant and much referred to this game would become...and i can't remember a single thing about the actual game! :)

No doubt the next target in the "kick a city legend in the bollox week" :icon_lol:

It needs no words. Words only undermine his legend status.

He is an absolute legend, my favourite ever player, and I share my birthday with him, which was dead exciting when I was a kid! When I was growing up in North Wales having the best striker in the league was something to cling on to amongst all the scouse glory-hunting fans. So gutted when he left to Everton (I probably cried :icon_redf ), especially with so many Toffee fans around that area.

Then he came and helped save the club...if he wasn't a legend before then that surely secured his status.

And the plugs he gives us on the Beeb now keep us in the national conciousness to remind everyone that we are still around!

...and An Evening With Gary Lineker was class.

Although "All in the Game" wasn't so good :icon_cool

I don't think Sir Gary is the best player to do this with. Everyone has exactly the same opinion - legend. So there's not much more to say really...

maybe i should scrap this idea then if thats peoples attitudes:confused:
That wasn't an attitude you miserable fook. That was a way of being appreciative to the man. This is the only Leicester player that needs no words, he is that high in my estimation.

You goin' through the menapores or something? :icon_wink
