It was a roll of the dice, that is clearly not working, but if you don't expect a change then why bother?what did you expect Ruud to do to change things? And I’m not having a dig - it’s a genuine question.

Oh, further to this, we brought in experienced Premier League quality players with W*se and Ian Walker and gave them big contracts - whilst we had renewed the likes of Elliott on massive money for a number of years despite being ancient.Yep, started with Peter Taylor, panicked into Dave Bassett (after being rejected by Harry Rednapp) and ended the season with Micky Adams in charge.
Feels very similar.
I can't even be bothered to watch now. What is the point? At least under the guy we (almost) all agreed was shit we would try to claw back a 1/2/3 goal deficit....now we're just accepting a good bumming every game.
Well what's the point in sacking a manager if you don't expect the next one to change things? As it happens, the appointment didn't look a great one from the start so my expectations were pretty low.what did you expect Ruud to do to change things? And I’m not having a dig - it’s a genuine question.

Had we hired a proper manager then we would have changed things but instead, we jumped from a clown to a duffer.
Sure you wouldn't prefer a sausage sandwich? On we plod I suppose - all a bit depressing really but nothing a Sunday morning bacon sandwich won’t help!
Fnar fnarSure you wouldn't prefer a sausage sandwich?
I'm not saying that RVN is the best, or worst, manager that we've ever had but, what do you all think that he should be doing that he isn't?
Well I can say with absolute certainty that yesterday his substitutions were unfathomable. EK was our only creative player and was trying (and to a certain extent) succeeding in creating some decent passages of play. He was by far our best player.I'm not saying that RVN is the best, or worst, manager that we've ever had but, what do you all think that he should be doing that he isn't?
If you look at the quality of players that we have lost/sold over the last couple of seasons, and some of the questionable replacements, then what can be expected? The new fullback, a £3m bargain bucket purchase, shows that money isn't freely available so, buckle in: we're in for a rough ride.
