Dyer was great when he came on from the bench last season...creating problems for defences, running at them with speed, shooting a lot, bringing our other attacking players into the game, scored a fair few goals too.
Would be a shame to see him go.
Has he gone to Sweden? - does anyone know the full 24 man squad who went?

I love the "this is my club" can't fault his desire to stay. Can only be a good thing, if someone wants it that much I bet he will work his nadgers of to be in the team and that means if anyone's going to keep him out they will have to be on the top of their game. Competition for places is going to be key to our success this year, everyone has to feel like if they lower their standards they'll be out of the team. Bring your A game fellas or go home!!

Call me cynical but I wouldn't say that him saying such a thing necessarily means he's staying. He'll be a great impact sub next season if he does though.

I love the "this is my club"

It's in particular the wording which pleases me. Basically admitting that he's never felt pride in playing for anyone previously, even us until mid-way through the season.

Personally, I think when he's came on a fair bit last season...he looked too eager, trying too hard.

I thought he was our best player of the Sousa "era" myself. Started the season on fire but fell away as the season went on.

Agreed, every time Dyer comes on it fills me with excitement that he's going to rip apart a tiring full-back. Sometimes he lacks the end product but he is definitely good enough at this level.

Decent squad player but anything more than that and I'd be persuaded to sell. Seems a decent bloke and a good character but his only real danger is his pace. Granted it does pay off at times but should be looking at better options really.

Useful squad player but we have to be looking at better if we want progress. Routledge is a better version. Perhaps not as quick but more technically gifted.

I have never had any complaints about Dyer, and this extends beyond his work rate. He has blistering pace, and eye for a finish and, whilst he is no Guppy, I have witnessed him put decent balls in the danger area. A useful player and if he wants to be here then we should let him. It's not like Robbie Nielson is pledging his alleigance, Dyer can have a part to play still!

LLoyd Dyer - what a member!

From comments in today's BBC site, LLoyd vows to fight for his place despite the recent influx of new signings
I love it here, I am a Leicester player, why would I want to go anywhere else with such exciting times ahead

LLoyd is clearly a loyal Fox and a true & solid member of this club... most managers will tell you, with the number of players showing purely mercenary ambitions, Dyer feels part of the LCFC family and wishes to remain so.

We need more geezers of Llyod's ilk wearing the blue & white

Nice one Lloyd - how refreshing to hear a player who says he loves the club in these days of player power - ok it's not a premier club coming in for him but who gives a toss - I was at Gloomfield Road when he knocked our 2nd goal in to give us our first win at Blackpool in living memory - that alone is enough to warrant a place in our 20 man squad

I enjoy watching Dyer more than watching say Andy King although I accept that King is the better player and that Sven should pick the team most likely to win. Your point about "a tiring full back" is well made. Jusr as your legs are beginning to feel heavy the last thing you want to face is someone as fast as Dyer.

So he's a squad player so we could get rid, surely if we did that we wouldnt have a squad. Or do we sell to simply replace, seems to me he's quite happy toplay the impact sub role, not a type of player you want to sell really is it.

You are comparing eggs with bacon and although they are both part of the fry up the difference in taste and texture are extreme.

Have always liked him, hope he stays especially now after his comments. Still has something to offer as bench player and agree absolutely with DG
