Because my Grandad whom was born in Leicester in 1917 told me that his Dad who was also born in Leicester went to watch Leicester Fosse when they were founded he went with his Dad and younger brother.
When I was a child I used to go with my Grandad and Dad to Filbert Street and my Grandad used to tell us stories of how his Dad and Grandad went to a field on Fosse road to watch Leicester Fosse before they were renamed Leicester City and before they moved into Filbert Street in 1891.

That's how I know.
