news ticker at the top of the page indicates we are interested in elliot from hull for £400,000. god knows how we could afford that.

if theres an ounce of truth in this we should get him in think he plays on the left he can score a few as well

"There's nothing happening with the player whatsoever at this stage. There have been no bids or approaches,"

chairman Adam Pearson told the Hull Daily Mail.

Fairly explanatory

typical chairman talk. something must have made him talk about the players speculation

Exactly. A chairman won't usually comment on just the normal paper talk and rumours.

Would be a good signing but I can't see that we'd be able to afford him. Even if we sell Maybury, I don't think we'd be able to spend 400k on someone..

Wouldn't neccesarily pick Birmingham over us. There he'd probaly only be on the bench, here he'd be almost guaranteed to start.

Elliott is an excellent player. He can play upfront or, more importantly, down the left. He would be a brilliant signing, however I doubt we would be able to attract his interest.

From what I've seen of him, he's excellent going forward, swift and precise. But suspect when getting back to do his bit. He's of the same ilk as Guppy.

From what I can remember he was good in Div 1 but as struggled with the step up to Championship standard.

he scored about 27 that season in Div. 1, from Left midfield. He started last sidelined with an injury. And then was in and out of the team.

He played on Saturday against Derby on Sky.

Call Up For Elliott

Stuart Elliott has been named in the Northern Ireland squad to face Finland in a friendly on Wednesday.

The game takes place in Helsinki and should Elliott play, he would win his 35th cap for his country.

Elliott has played a part in all three of the Tigers' games so far this season, although his only start came at West Brom on the opening day of the campaign.

Scored 7 goals for Hull Last year which would have made him almost our top scorer. Scored the first for Hull when we beat em 3-2 at the Walkers (joeys game) and if i remember correctly had a decent game causing us a few problems.

Yes. A journalist phoned him and asked him. :icon_roll

Usually if a chairman refuses to comment about a rumour it means there's some truth in it. If he's asked about a player and says there's been no bid, I'd expect it to be true. It's more likely that the player wants to move and his agent is contacting managers trying to sell him and leaking stories to newspapers about clubs being interested.
