Sending an email with a future date on it is done because it means the email will stay at the top of your list of emails for longer (assuming you have them sorted in date order). That is unless you delete it as soon as you see it.
People are probably more likely to read something that catches their notice, like having the wrong date on it.but whats the logic of sending one with a date of 4 years ago
