What can we say a thoroughly disappointing season is finally over, a team that promised so much but then delivered so little, a managerial change that has at least offered some hope for the future, most of the deadwood and big earners finally being moved on and now the chance for Levein to really stamp his authority on and influence on the squad.

This summer will be exciting as we await news of new signings and the hints of what the new season may offer, who else will be moved on, how many new faces will be bought in, Levein is currently stating 4 but I would hope for a couple more.

Lets hope 2005/06 season delivers decent winning football and makes us proud of our team rather than the disppointment and fustration of the last 9 months......roll on August I can't wait.

Like the Primal Scream album and famous movie... let's hope this is just ~The Turning Point..... Let's hope Levein is the man to get this club back to the highest echelons of footie in the country.

For now, I want Derby sheep scum to beat Preston  wait for it, only to watch all those thousands of rams getting dumped by the hammers/Ipswich in the final.... :-D

Watch out for Wolves, Coventry, Luton, Southampton, etc next year, being realistic i think the play offs are what we should hope for next term.

Alex, aim for the play offs, don't make it and you're in the same league next year. Aim for the top and don't quite make it you should make the play offs. So aim high....
"Don't talk to me about top 6, talk to me about the top 2"

I think we'll do well to avoid relegation again....

OK, I'll go with you on that **** it, why not? Next year we'll win it...

Levein has said 4 players, but personally I feel we need another 6 or so..

IMO, we need:

1 GK
1 CB (possibly, definetely need one if Kenton doesn't stay)
1 RW (maybe 2...iit'd be nice to have at least a little competion, or at least cover, althought Stephen Hughes could cover)
1 LW
1/2 Strikers (as well as Jani Strum, 2 if we don't keep Stefan Moore)

I'd love for us to win the league next season, but to be honest I can't see it. Hoping of the playoffs, but we do need those 4 signings to all be good for that to happen even I think

:-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :smt006

End Of Season Thought: 300 Miles is too far to go to see Leicester play the most boring 0-0 draw i've ever had the mis fortune of witnessing. Add to that the excrusatingly cold wind and the game was a bit of a disaster.

Roll on Next season eh?

fair play for going Fox Fan.
chapeau!

They always say football teams go in cycles. I started supporting City when I was seven, seeing us narrowly avoiding relegation to the third tier thanks to Tony James. 14 years on, we narrowly avoid relegation to the third tier, going full circle. Brian Little took over at the bottom of the circle, starting us on the way, with the success of Martin O'Neill, the second cup win the top of the circle. O'Neill's departure saw us take the slow route back down, with Adams signings and tactics taking us back to the bottom. Them 14 years saw 3 promotions, 3 relegations, 3 cup finals, 7 trips to Wembley, Europe, administration and La Manga to name a few.

Craig Levein is taking us back to the top of the circle. This season has been the worst since I’ve supported city but I can’t remember being as optimistic going into the summer. I think only the top 3 have lost less games than us this season, our home form needs to drastically improve and 4 or 5 good signings will see us challenge next season.

Here's to the next 14 years.

I metaphorically raise my glass to you... I remember those circles all too well.. I think you're dead right too.. Come on City, come on Levein..

Expect Wolves to be strong next season, and West Ham without Pardew who will probaly resign or be sacked if they don't go up.

And Luton, whoever don't go up from the play-offs, whoever comes down from the Prem, Covscum (grrr), and Sheffield Wednesday if they come up will get backing....

I tell you who won't be a worry next term though and that's forest... Ha ha ha hah ah ha... Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!

Barnt Green - Plymouth Argyle = 195 miles. Did you take the scenic route?

Did you not go to Reading then?

Perhaps he means round trip and found a quick route Webbo?

Was it not as bad as reading then? That's good, that was dire. What were Sheehan/Moore like?

Intresting Points, prehaps not 300 miles but no less still a serious distance. Yes I did go to Reading - on both occasions, and the wind made it very cold, also it messed up my hair.

I would consider that game more boring than Reading.

I thought Moore wasn't up to scartch. Considering he could of been playing for a contract he looked very lazy and seemed loathed to chase anything. Overall he looks like a time waster - Goodbye to him.

My overall thoughts for the season are that we were feckin' shite at the start, absolute feckin' shite in the middle, and completely feckin' shite at the end

Shit bollocks wank from start to finish

Good riddance to it, and to the skiving lazy talentless monkeys that produced it

Onwards and upwards, and that's faired income if ever I heard it
