eng 92-3, kp golden quacker :icon_roll

Does he really desrve to be in the team?

Disruptive influence and form has been terrible for a while.

He got a century in his last test......

One of the best batsmen in the world, England would be mad to drop him - but that doesn't mean his place should be set in stone.

Pietersen is the our only world class batsman, a bit of an over reaction to a golden duck. It can happen to anyone if they get a decent ball first up.

England close on 289/7. Bopara the star of the show today with an excellent 100. Hope we can get past 350 tomorrow morning.

Broad proved his worth with the bat again as well, which was important with him batting at 7.

England currently look like they bat very deep. Bresnan, Broad and Swann are all capable batsman. Even Jimmy is getting better and better too. I think we bat down to 10 now. Not sure about onions as i've never seen him bat.

Could we have found the new King of Spain in Graeme Swann?

377 - 8 @ lunch

Bopara finally out on 143

Swann is on 63, from 89 balls. 9 fours and 1 six

Hopefully we can sneak past 400 and then rip into them.

Strauss has gone mad

He's opened the bowling with Swann

Unsurprisingly they are 24-0 off four overs:icon_conf

Here you go boys, get your eye in with some nice soft slow bowling - after all it's not as if your own quickest bowler did anything on this pitch is it ?

The man's a complete cock

Utterly baffling.

Its May
Its overcast
Its Lords
Its a new ball

And England's best swing bowler comes on after 5 overs after Gayle And Smith have played themselves in.

Unless there is a valid reason Strauss will have a lot of questions to answer at the end of the day

:icon_bigg Ever wish you'd never opened your gob?

Not many touring sides to England have looked less prepared or up for it.

I feel sorry for people who have bought tickets for Lords on Saturday.

The reason Strauss opened with Swann is of course because of his past record of dismissing the W. Indies most dangerous batsman.

To be honest, I always thought Strauss was a bit too predictable in his captaincy and am pleasantly surprised that he tried the gambit of opening with him.
