I can't understand why people keep saying this. I was already very impressed with O'Neill's achievements with Wycombe, well before he came to Leicester.

when you look at records they are pretty identical and lets face it there where lots of people calling for his head after sheff utd.

If holloway can be half the manager O'Neill is then we have got a good one and as I have previously said lets just get behind him.

hopefully we've got the right man this time and the good times will come back to city

I agree with you Newts - but the body language between the two at the press conference wasn't exactly the best I have ever seen.

Maybe they just need time to get to know each other. Wonder if IH will still be allowed to do his BBC column?

not so sure about the body language comment..lots of 'mirroring' of hand movements and a conscious desire to back up MM's comments..i'm no NLP expert but it didn't look too bad to me...quite the opposite..and compared with Megson's press conference it was f**ckin' uplifting!

I already think the man is has solid values, could be a great motivator and is more articulate than I expected (especially if you want to compare him with MA2) I like his open style and despite any issues surrounding his appointment I honestly believe he has done the best thing personally to progress his career ,make his family secure and will prove to be a great appointment...

I think we will grow, very quickly, to love his idiosyncratic approch to life and football management..welcome aboard Ollie...can't believe I like you so much already...:icon_bigg:icon_bigg

I'm realy happy that we have got Holloway, there are alot of people down this end of the country who are very sad to see him leaving Plymouth. Which in my oppinion is testament to how well he has come on as a manager ,over recent seasons.
I like his optomism and enthusiasm and realy think he will do well for us, even though he sounds like Adge Cutler.

Seems the enthusiasm is growing - amazing what a win will do for you.
Bring on tonight's match. Anyone watching it in Leeds?

Yes, it's on in both. FACT

seeing as there is feck all else on tonight joe i'd imagine anywhere with sky will put it on. the other fixtures for tonight are;

stevenage vs altringham
merthyr vs maggotsfield (something like that anyway)
chelmsford vs carshalton?

i believe the game may be shown in high spen...i'll be ringing the pub just to check though

Yes, enthusiasm back for me as well!! I'd got to the point that although I've got a season ticket, I was starting to think I'd got much better things to do with my time. If we don't win tonight we have to remember that 'Ollie's' not had time to decide who is best team are yet but I think he'll get there.

COME ON OLLIE MY SON, WE ALL WANT YOU TO SUCCEED!!:038::038::038:
