Another tail-end stand against us and another ton from Taylor marshalling the tail. Following on, but a semi-decent chance of getting a draw if Dippenaar can find some form. Saying that Kaneria got 8 1st innings wickets so he might fancy his chances of a massive match haul.

Taylor almost has 1,000 runs for the season now.

Benning opened the bowling in 1st innings, the Times said he shouldn't even be bowling in club cricket :icon_roll He retired hurt with a blow to the head first innings, so hope he is OK.

From the OS..... :102:

Leicestershire CCC have today announced that Mr Kevin Hill has resigned as a director of the Club.
All directors signed a Confidentiality Agreement regarding board discussions.
Mr Hill resigned ahead of the Board meeting scheduled for 27 August when serious breaches of confidence were to be discussed.
Mr Hill was elected for a 3-year term of office at the Club’s AGM in March 2009.

Dont know if its true...but seen it some where that taylor has the 3rd best runs average in the country.

Hes 6th on the list I've just checked, very impressive. Hes becoming better by the match.

We're still 60 behind Essex with 4 back in the hutch. I think it would take a lot for us to get the draw with Kaneria such a threat and Benning injured.

Maunders getting his usual end of season hundred I see :icon_cool

Oh and I agree that Benning definitely shouldn't be opening the bowling! Hes a part timer, anyone who suggests different really needs to think again.

He's just got to 1,000 championship runs :038:

Now 28 behind, with Taylor and Dippenaar still going.

I thought exactly the same thing.

Pretty decent performance with Kanaria on form, apart from the large 9th wicket partnership we let them have it would have been a close match.
