I’ll be betting on us to win, I’m visiting Anfield for the first time. I’ll be a good luck charm. We win 2-0
My first visit was a 2-1 win.

1981

Followed by becoming possibly the only football fan to have been beaten to shit twice at the same game. Once in the street after being deliberately lied to & steered into trouble by the local coppers & once on the bus to the station that I managed to drag myself onto afterwards.

The round of applause I got from the entire carriage of the football special as I got on with my face 90% covered in blood, one eye completely closed & the bottom right hand side of my lip hanging off was **** all compensation.
& it could have been worse. If I'd been more naive than I was then I might have fallen for the attempts of the first group of Scouse scum to steer me towards what was obviously a large building site, under the pretence of helping me get " a shortcut to the station " If I'd have gone for that I'd probably now be a long forgotten murder story from the archives of the Liverpool Echo.

That was the beginning of my abiding love for the city of Liverpool & it's charming, humourous & characterful inhabitants. As recorded on the pages of this forum over the years.

Watch your back.

& if anyone shakes your hand make sure you've still got your watch afterwards. Keep an emergency £50 in cash either in your sock or taped inside your boxers.

Their love of being victims is what makes them so utterly ****ing despicable. They crave the sorrow whilst at the same time acting without mortality or compassion. I've never been to a city where I have felt so threatened and so much in fear of getting robbed or having my head stoved in. But it's all right though 'cause they're well funny people....

Of course, I'm not saying everyone in Liverpool fits this mould, but it's enough of the ****s to make me despise the place wholeheartedly.

I can't wait to see who he picks this game. I'm gonna bet on both Faes and Okoli making an appearance and well as Hamza.

felt exactly the same as this two years ago and we somehow beat them 1-0 over Christmas with Amartey, Soumare and Hamza in the team.

Straws.

Clutching.

And Luke Thomas doing a great job against Salah.

And that was Soumare mark 1. The really shit one.

How much fear is running through the minds of our team for this game? More than ever I'd say. It's going to be a calamity isn't it? Ten nil?

Couldn't have put it better.

Of course it's all been glossed over since Hillsborough but the fact is that at the time they were utterly despised by pretty much everybody.
The reason the Sun was able to get away with all those stories was because nobody found it hard to believe. & with good reason.
It'd only been 4 years since Heysel & the ban on English clubs in Europe still had 2 years to run.
I was watching us play Chelsea on the day & the news was filtering through on the tranny radios. Almost every reaction as the news spread was the same "the ****s are at it again"

& of course the whole "casual" football hooligan thing was almost entirely a scouse creation. They qualified for europe every year in the early 80s & boutiques in Milan, Rome, Paris etc weren't prepared for gangs of 30/40 blokes just steaming into their shops mob handed & helping themselves to rackloads of expensive gear to flog when they got home. It all started with them.

Bunch of subhuman wankers.
