Everton have asked Wolves for more time before signing Lescott (probably injury concerns), if it falls through they may go for and get Kisnarbo now Gareth has signed.

If so, he is worth more than they were prepared to pay for Lescott.

If this is indeed the case and they are intersetd in PK, for that money, bye bye PK

Dont think we could get moe than £2 million for a playertill unproven in English football and suspended for the start of the season!

There is no way Everton, or any other club, would pay £2 million for PK right now. To be honest, I have no idea where the idea of him going to the Premiership came from but I really can't see it for a player who has put in 15 decent performances for an average Championship club. That's not to say I don't like Paddy, cos I thought Paddy and Paddy looked solid together at centre back (if a little ropey in the air), but 6 months ago our fans were on his back every single game - 'the new junior lewis but worth' etc. I just don't see any premiership club paying us any sort of money for a player who has had 2 months of decent football.

Unless they're called Theo Walcott

If this does fall through and Everton do come knocking for Kisnorbo then our bargaining position will have been made a whole lot stronger by Everton's willingness to pay circa 5m for Lescott, who has spent his entire career outside the top flight ( He was injured for the whole season when Wolves were promoted). Reckon we could hold out for 1.5m - 2m.

I read somewhere on Skysports that is was how the money was due to be paid to Wolves was the sticking point!

Everton wanted it in installments & performance related where Wolves wanted more cash up-front :icon_roll

A sale is a sale, if you want something buy it. Not take advantage of the fact that Wolves are a lower league club with less finances to play with.

This is where the cash rich Premier league clubs should be made to help out those in lower leagues by not trying to screw us into financial contracts that benefit them, and them only. They have the cash, pay it

And if you believe the rumours that we've been after him for a while, we've just waited six months for a League 2 player to go out of contract so we don't have to pay the little club anything! It's all relative...

Lets hope so, the arguments were a more interesting read.;) :icon_lol:

Everton have now been linked with the Hearts Centre back Andy Webster which would most likely mean no move for PK.
