Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

People commenting on the ref's bog called Robbie Savage's performance "disgusting" and "tasteless".

Too right.

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Indubitably.

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Michael Lamey currently playing on channel 5 for Wisla Krakow. He looks good.

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Except they got dicked 4-1. But, it does feel funny that he was allegedly not good enough for Foxes, yet plays in the Uefa Cup.

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

I suspect it is a matter of style. I never saw him play for Leicester, but last night he was possibly WK's best player, forming a very impressive right sided partnership with their wide midfielder. Between them they gave Riise a pretty torid time in the first half, and he put some superb balls into the box. He was also one of only 2 or 3 WK players who got on with the game without diving, histrionics, and general "gamesmanship"

However his defensive duties were somewhat different to what I assume was expected of him at Leicester. Like many continental teams their full backs were mainly concerned with occupying key spaces, pushing attackers out of dangerous positions etc. with actual challenges & tackles being more the business of the defensive midfielders who were constantly backing up.

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Watched Ben Mee and Ryan McGivern yesterday as Bristle beat Burnley 3-1... Mee was poor, McGivern surprisingly good!

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Billy Kee scored again, his 8th goal in about his last 9 games, to earn Burton a 1-0 win over Macclesfield.

Can we get him back for the play-offs?
