For people who live abroad and struggle to watch City's goal on the net, down loading this software hides your isp address so can use websites such as bbc i player etc.

I'd be interested in finding out about the VPN service you are using.

Well, I downloaded Hotspot Shield and everything went fine. It loaded pages quite quickly, much faster than other things I've tried. They've got a banner ad appearing at the top of each page you view, but that's not too annoying.

The problem is, I couldn't figure out a way to force it to show a UK IP, so even though it was anonymous, it presumably still shows an overseas IP. Ergo, no BBC stuff. If you can do that, it'd be worth trying to see if it was a fast enough connection to stream video.

I've managed to get under the radar of the BBC using the Tor Network in the past, where you can specify the country of your last IP, but it was never fast enough to do anything once you were connected.

In conclusion... I'm sticking with the $10/month jobbie for now, because crucially... it actually works :icon_wink
