For some things. Not for others.

For example, it does tell us the following interesting facts.

1. Maddison has had more shots this season than Vardy
2. Gray or Albrighton are five times more likely to make an assist than Perez
3. Chilwell has had more shots and key passes this season than Ricardo

Eh? Simple stats show us all of these things. Nothing to do with xG.

You really are the forum's leader in xB (expected Bollocks)!

The gap between our xG and our actual goals scored is far and away the most absurd one in the league (+11.58).

The next highest difference is Spurs at -4.95.

Watford who have an xG of 16.69 but are 7.69 short.

More bollocks. We have the highest difference at 11.58. Check?

How the **** can this be if Watford's difference is 7.69.

Keep going, BN. Your xB needs you!

Negative numbers go the other way, boc.

A difference is a difference whether it's positive or negative. A difference of 7 is bigger than a difference of 5 either way.

Bog off grandad, xG is the future.
Nonsense. It will last only until somebody invents something even twattier that idiots can nail their colours to.

Stop! Stop with this nonsense! We're 2nd in the table - 2nd! We're 12 points above 5th FFS! We're virtually nailed on for Champions League (Dilly Ding, Dilly Dong) next year.
None of this bollocks matters!

The latest xG top six (with actual points in brackets):

1st Man City 40 points (35)
2nd LIverpool 34 points (49)
3rd Man Utd 32 points (25)
4th Chelsea 32 points (29)
5th Leicester 30 points (39)
6th Wolves 26 points (24)

A massive 20 point swing between Man City and Liverpool suggests that the gap between the sides is not as big as the league table suggests.

We finished last season four points behind our xG. We're currently nine points ahead of it.
