A perfect draw for us. At home and if we lose it's no disgrace and if we win it will do confidence the world of good.

Much better than being drawn away or at home to a minnow and getting done over.

Sort of agree with you, Volpone, but Christ that was underwhelming.

Will probs be played on the Tuesday. Most PL teams want the extra couple of days rest after the New Year days games. No FL games on 1st January (or they don't have a game on the 29th - I can't remember which).

The post xmas Football League games are on the 26th and 28th (Friday and Sunday).

I'm not sure the TV people will be happy if a load of games are moved to the Tuesday, and they're in charge these days. I would think it's more likely that games involving Premier League clubs will be on the Sunday.

Hopefully it'll be a nil nil shitefest with a replay

Great draw, in my opinion

Looking forward to it

I love the FA Cup, will be a nice distraction.

Newcastle have a habit of throwing cup games, although they're actually having a decent season so it probably won't be the case this year.

City v Newcastle in the FA Cup should be a terrific draw. However, I fear that the reality of it will be somewhat different.

Two teams who will play weakened teams with managers claiming false interest in the competition but really both wanting to be out of it as soon as possible.

Sad really. One of the worst consequences of the introduction of Premier League and Champions League.

Tigers are playing on the Sunday. Therefore.....it's either Saturday and both teams field second XIs or a midweek night.

As we may well be in an irretrievable position by then, it's more likely we will field the strongest possible side in order to salvage something from the season even if it's only pride and confidence.

Judging by City's recent performances; the Tigers would put up more of a fight than the Foxes (they wouldn't score of course, just put up more of fight)
