Tbf, it's well documented that he was homophobic and a bully. Then again, it's not like he was the only one back then. He was a great manager, but people are too quick to gloss over his flaws sometimes.
The last perfect guy was nailed to a cross....

They have opened up Trent End upper, we must have won a game - delusional twats

Are they saying how many tickets they have sold for the game?

My daughters Landlord is going and he got 2 tickets quite easily, and he is a Notts County fan. We go to his place before and after the game. Just debating if to go in the car or by bus from Carlton.
Wanna lift? thats where I live....

When I lived in Nottingham I used to play football for Carlton Town (but back then they were called Sneinton)
The pitch you played on, half way down Carlton Hill is just back of my house. My sister-in-law runs the Madhouse pub.

Small world.

The ground we played on is on Stoke Lane off the Loop Road, but I've been in the Madhouse after games before. It was about 10-12 years ago so The club has changed a lot since I was there. There were some good lads there and I enjoyed it, even if they did give me a bit of abuse for being a City fan :icon_bigg

My daughters place is near that Wetherspoons pub on Carlton Hill. Whereabouts is the Madhouse so to speak.
Wetherspoons on Carlton Road is my local, Madhouse is on the same side of the road only about a mile nearer town - proper name is Duke of Devonshire
