2-0 win. Lawrence with a Waters-like debut.

It will be interesting to see what kind of team we put out for this, after all the effort the players have put in over the last week.

We don't have the depth to change the whole team without putting a load of kids in.

I expect Moore, Wood, two out of Knockaert, Albrighton and Lawrence to start, but once we've done that there aren't many other players to choose from, unless we bring in the likes of Hopper and some of the development squad players.

I think Wasil may need a rest so certainly get Liam in there.

Midfield has rotated over the Christmas period so it shouldn't be too bad in that department.

Cambiasso to play in his first ever FA Cup game?

nice to see "lucky blaarev starting the thread - Wasyl will certainly be rested for this, so Moore likely to come in , or is Upson fit!? Mayrez and Schlupp are eligilible to play thier final game before ANC so id play them, Hammond needs game time so no doubt he will start. NP will hopefully give a debut. The game is not as important as the league but its important to continue the momentum the team have built up recently. I think we just might sneek a 2-1 win Ulloa Lawrence

Match is not far from being a meaningless kick around with the FA Cup sadly being in terminal decline thanks to Premier League - Fergie and Wenger & co.

Given the efforts of the last few days, we still have an interest in the league and given that our squad is small in numbers , I hope that Pearson rests as many regular first teamers as possible.

Apologies in advance for saying that it is in our best interests to lose - a win would be useful for morale and a draw(replay) would be very bad news.

Normally I'd prefer us to be focussed on the main job and field an alternative team for this - but given the run we've just ended I reckon I'd like to see us set out to crush them and take the resulting confidence into the Villa game.

This is probably the first season in an age I'd like us to really expend some energy in the cup as a whole. Despite the results we've had in the league, there are very few teams we can't beat given some luck (and we're due for a motherload) and application.

We are showing a fantastic never-say-die attitude, let's keep it going.

You say that, but as soon as I saw that he'd started the thread I was filled with an overpowering sense of impending doom that I've not been able to shake off

You could try wanking it off.

The club will have to assess the current fatigue of the players and make it fit from that.

It would be great to keep the positivity with a win. Newcastle are back into their old shitty form judging from yesterday's performance.

That was the first thing I tried Blaarev, didn't do any good at all and I ended up getting barred from McDonald's
You should know better than that. A bus is a more suitable place, but beware of little old ladies with umbrellas.

Sesay Moore Morgan De Laet

Sad post. But I concur, losing this game would be far preferable to drawing. I hope that we don't get injuries or suspensions.

Good thinking blaarev, many an excellent tug has been ruined by the end product being wasted just on some dears umbrella. You have to catch them when they aren't expecting it.
