New Arsenal Captain
Is that your opinion or have you heard it somewhere hf?
Permanently or for the CL game?
it doesn't matter who the captain is.....having lost walcott to injurty, arsenal have not one englishman over the age of a sperm now in their squad and they wonder why their side is devoid of old fashioned passion, fight and an the ingrained understanding of how to pull together and fight past english style 'spoiling tactics'. Man Utd and Liverpool, as well as Chelsea have some home grown heart at the centre of their sides and it shows. Having said that - when Liverpool are without Gerrard they only have one englishman in their 16 and, quelle surprise (to paraphrase mr wenger) more often than not get beat or draw as they did on saturday.
The fact that for the next three months Wenger will most probably field a full sixteen with not a single englishman among them is a national disgrace.
Gallas, Fabregas, Toure - it doesn't matter. Arsenal were at their best when they allied great flair with the stoic defensive organisation that made them champions. Wright, Henry, Pires, Viera new that they had the platform of Adams, Keown, Wright, Seaman, Winterburn, Parlour etc to build on - and bought into the traditions of a club.
F*cking hate Arsenal.
Were you on that list last week by any chance?
I think its a bit unfair to suggest he is on the BNP list because he is moaning about Arsenal having no English players. I think he has a point, if you look at Chelsea, Liverpool and Man U they all have english players at the heart of each team!
Arsenal to spend big in January IMO, Gareth Barry should be their top priority for a start. Then a big experienced Defender.
They could do a lot worse than sign Jimmy Bullard
You never know they might put a bid in for Andy King :icon_bigg
I doubt itArsenal to spend big in January IMO, Gareth Barry should be their top priority for a start. Then a big experienced Defender.
Fabregas - expensive egg fart.
