I realised that by the beginning of the seventh sentence....it was a load of shite which didn't make much sense but I'd put all that effort in, I just thought '**** it'.
I think that's a telling sentence. When I was at school we were terrified by monks, Christian Brothers, looking for an excuse to brutalise us. Thinking '**** it' when writing something down was just asking for a pasting.
That kind of attitude to writing something down was literally beaten out of us. I'm not saying that's a good thing, it's just a matter of fact.
It's tragic to note that I let standards slip when using IMs, but sometimes I have to force myself to be slack, it's actually hard work to not bother about punctuation or spelling in an IM. I was really excited last week when I typed 'UR' instead of 'you are', I'm such a rebel.
