The following email apparently was sent to skysports this on 20/1/06:
Dear Sir/Madam,
As a Wolves fan you can understand my frustration at the board and CEO for lack of movement in the transfer window.
Myself and a band of other fans want to raise £300k and awareness in our plight to sign a good striker before the window closes for our club and show the board and CEO how it's done.
Out target is Thorvaldsson who plays for Halmstaad, he is available for around £250k, if we can get his agent to defer payment until the player is sold on or plays x amount of games we could pull this off. £12 from every person at the next game would see us raise the type of funds we need.
Would you run a story? Would you help us make contact with the club, player and agent?
This could make transfer history and sky could be a major player in that.
What the worst that could happen? The player says no, but we still get a platform in which to vent our frustrations at the Wolves board.
Many thanks for your time,
