Because its much better than the petrol engine, Ive driven both types of Alfa engine and the diesel is so much better in every area.
Unless you have the 3.5 litre petrol but that has astronomical servicing costs.

Erm not from a standing start but 40-70 (the speeds that are most often used for overtaking) it will be quicker.
The engine sounds are getting better but I have to say it wont match a real V8 rumble!
