Wasn't he a winger? I'm pretty comfortable with our wing options considering we have Schlupp and Dyer on the bench. For me, I'd like to see a striker come in as I'd be concerned about our options should Vardy get injured.

For me - yep, I think we need someone who can compete with Vardy. I have a feeling Kramaric will move on. A quick young up and coming forward and some defensive reinforcements. We've been defending better of late but I still feel it's our Achilles heel. Be interesting to see if we've got any more scouting success stories to look forward to...

Problem with all this speculation is that over half the squad, have never got into the side, not because they are poor players. Ranieri simply can't break up a winning team. Injuries and suspensions will take their toll, but not all at once, so any change will be gradual rather than wholesale. Should we 'strengthen', I don't think so, certainly not in January. It would take time for any player and I don't care who they are to fit into our style of play and it is 'our style'. CR is no mug, he won't change things just for the sake of change and he will not upset the changing room by bringing in a couple of super stars.

Excluding any opportunities to add exceptional quality, I'd expect January is all about adding any required depth.

New starters are more likely to come in the summer, inevitably to include replacements for any sales (Mahrez, Kante, etc).

Nothing drastic required in January imo.

Simpson has been fantastic since he's been back in the team and I don't mind De Laet but RB does seem our weakest area so I wouldn't mind us getting in on the hunt for Sam Byrom from Leeds.

Apart from that, everywhere else seems pretty well covered considering we have Matty James to come back and King & Inler haven't seen much league game time at all to come in and do a job. I still think Kramaric could turn out to be a good player for us when needed and we have good cover on the wings with Dyer & Schlupp too so looking quite good all round really.

Saying that though, we do have Steve Walsh who has an excellent little note book of talent around the globe. Given our position, it would probably be a little short sighted of us to not try and use it to our advantage and try and prise some of Europe's up and coming talent like Mahrez & Kante who may now see us in a different light after finishing in a relegation battle last season.

Obviously the main priority has to keep hold of what we have already but it would be nice to see that complimented without breaking the balance.
