We should always be trying to strengthen the team.
Not sign players just for the sake of it, but if someone on the list I sent Claudio is available we should sign them.

If the opportunity to add to the squad with the right targets then we should strengthen for sure. Regarding players that might want to leave to join a bigger club, I would hope we can at least persuade them to stay until the end of the season, at the end of the day they have a real chance of achieving a piece of silverware here this season, as good as they would have by joining Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United or any other club.

I was listening to some dipshit yank commentator saying we should cash in on Vardy for £20m in January. ****ing hell... £20m is pittance for one of your best players in this league, so what if he's 29. Next season it's worth what... £150m just to stay up? Don't upset the applecart, add in January if the opportunity to acquire the right targets comes but I hope to god we don't go selling players we want to keep.

We have a lot of good players waiting for an opportunity this season. While we can't be sure how some will settle in when they get the chance, our squad isn't weak.

The only position that worries me a little is a strike partner for Vardy. Okazaki and Ulloa haven't really taken the opportunity for me, and Kramaric doesn't seem to be anywhere near the team.

I also think that some significant transfer business could be important in convincing some players to stay.

We buy in January.It's not even a debate.Without cover at RB CB & one of the striking positions (quality cover obviously.Not makeweights) we risk blowing our probably only chance of achieving anything.Statistically teams like us without big squads perform significantly worse in the 2nd half of the season as injuries & suspensions kick in.
This season is a one off deal.The big 4 are all misfiring on a regular basis.That's not going to happen again.Survival is all but assured which means we'll be here next season for the cash bonanza from the telly deal.Therefore money spent in January will be a comparitive pittance.
Get em in & go for it.& try to win the cup too.We'll never have a better chance to grab a trophy than this season.**** patting ourselves on the back in May if we finish 8th.That would've been fabulous in July but the reality is different now.
I cling to my old fashioned belief that sport is about winning things.
