I believe that the FA are a bunch of clueless feckwits who'd not know what to do anyway and will inevitably, ultimately elect to do the wrong thing.

Personally, I don't give a **** if FIFA steal every €, £ or $ coming their way. They, and other national and regional bodies, have presided over the destruction of the game I loved and turned it into a business I loathe.

My interest in the sport wanes with each passing minute - City is just a relationship that I know is over but I can't bring myself to close off for good.

I do have some considerable sympathy for your view here. In many respects, football has lost its purity and realism.

However, before prostituting itself, the game wasn't exactly flourishing. City were penniless, getting gates of less than 10,000 in a stadium that was falling apart and with people fearful of attending because of hooliganism and abusiveness.

It's difficult to imagine a game that would have been preferable to what we have now had the game not dropped its trousers and bent over for money. Anyway, that game does remain in non-league and low level football. Many people find that environment more satisfying nowadays and a way of reigniting their interest.

Inept is a significant step up from corrupt though, don't you reckon?

Anyway, I'm not advocating the FA run the world game. I'm just advocating that FIFA don't and that the FA stop talking FIFA down whilst effectively working for them.
